YWS Online Classes - Pack Of 2.
Welcome to your journey of self-discovery, where you will improve and enhance your health continuously; moving towards attaining physical strength and agility, a calm steady mind and a sensitive evolving spirit.
My 90-minute yoga classes are designed to guide you through a holistic experience that addresses every aspect of your being. Each session includes:
A Warm-up sequence: A sensible way to start the class, to get the muscles and joints limbered up in preparation for the deeper stretches and movements.
Basic stretches for Pelvic opening: to prepare the body to sit in a meditative posture for the starting prayer.
A Starting chant: A short mantra to work through 'sound-vibrations' to heal, energise and draw the mind to the present.
Backbends & Forward bends: to allow the body to attempt the Vinyasa flows with greater ease and flexibility.
Surya Namaskar: Several rounds of the SunSalutation, slow or faster, some with additional postures worked in, each with an emphasis on some specific aspect, to help improve form, technique or build strength, flexibility or focus.
Vinyasa Flow: Every class has a Vinyasa flowing exercise choreographed by me. This gives us an opportunity to experience and practice a vast range of postures. This works magically on the overall health of our body.
Shoulder Stand Sequence: Every class includes this sequence which has the Inverted shoulder-stand posture along with different variations, in each session. It is explained if this is contraindicated for some. Inversions have tremendous benefits and so I do not like to omit this in any class.
Pranayama: Yoga breathing exercises have a dynamic impact on the health of our lungs, heart, respiratory process and overall health. We do some basic breathing exercises in every class and keep varying additional ones.
Meditation / Yoga Nidra: Every session ends by helping us relax and assimilate the benefits of the class, with either a Meditation sequence or a Yoga Nidra session. Yoga Nidra is deep guided relaxation. For Meditation we sit upright and for yoga Nidra we lie down in 'Shavasana' position.
